CF Homestead Preview Service

Ok, I have several voicemails on my cell asking how the preview service went. If you would like to know, read on. Here are the high points:

-- We had 160 people at CF Homestead for the Preview Service.

-- Way Station and Anchor Harbor were AWESOME. The teams transformed the rooms with creativity and excellence. The kids loved it.

-- The music sounded great. We were concerned with being in a cafeteria, but our sound team pulled off a major coup.

-- Rick made it to CF Homestead with time to spare. He even got to hug a bunch of people on his way in.

-- The Guest Service teams were phenomenal. They are spearheading a new practice that we are implementing at Palmetto Bay as well. Instead of the greeters handing out worship folders, we are having only the ushers do that. This frees up the greeters to shake hands. I followed a few people in and saw them have their hands shook 3-4 times before entering the worship center. Very well done. And all by volunteers!

-- We concluded the service by getting in a big circle and praying. We passed out invite cards to everyone there and challenged them to go all out this week. We only get one launch. And it is in a week.

-- One of the custodians from the school came to the service. And became a Christian today!

-- Next week we launch a 10am service alongside the 11:30 service we have publicized. The 10am service will be live worship and will feature video teaching from the weekend. We want to be sure all our 11:30 service volunteers go to the 10am service to be fed. We don’t want our folks drying up spiritually. We care too much about them for that to happen.

-- It is a ton of work. Volunteers were there at 8am. We finished setting things back up for the school at 3pm.

I am eager to see what God will do next weekend...

Pompeyo and I were came down to attend the CFHomestead service to show support to the Launch Team. YES, we experienced the love and tremendous enthusiasm as we arrived at the Waterstone School. Everyone was smiling and extended a handshake as we walked down the breezeway. It was joyous to be part of this day. What a blessing! We are even more committed to our service at Palmetto Bay after being at Homestead. We must duplicate our efforts so we are prepared for the next campus! God has a plan for each of us. Suzanne

Suzanne, It was great seeing you and Pompeyo there. And thanks for being so faithful in the Guest/Info Center at Palmetto Bay.
